It came with a MT90B16 72H front tire and a MU85B16 77H rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 292mm discs in the front and a single 292mm disc in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a air-adjustable monoshock. The Road Glide Classic was fitted with a 1.32 Gallon (5.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 63.5 inches (1613 mm) long.

The 2005 MY Harley Davidson FLHTC Road Glide Classic has, at its heart, an air-cooled, 1450cc, Twin Cam 88 V-Twin mated to a five-speed manual transmission, and can reach its peak torque of 117 Nm at 3500 rpm. It comes standard with a fork-mounted fairing, hard saddlebags, a rear trunk with integrated passenger backrest, an advanced audio system with standard CD, big floor boards, a comfort-stitch saddle, an air-adjustable rear suspension, dual front disc brakes, plus a full instrumentation panel.
