The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Four stroke, 60° V-twin, DOHC, 4 valve per cylinder. The engine featured a 11.3:1 compression ratio.
Drive[edit | edit source]
Power was moderated via the Nine plate wet pressure fed with integral compensation.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a D207 120/70ZR-19 front tire and a D207 180/55ZR-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2x 292mm discs 4 piston calipers in the front and a Single 292mm disc 4 piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a Huge 49mm telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Dual coil over adjustable shock. The Night Rod was fitted with a 14 Liters / 3.7 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 275.0 kg / 606.3 lbs. The wheelbase was 1713 mm / 67.5 in long.

New Slotted Aluminum Disc wheels or a Black Staggered 10-Spoke wheel option. A 180mm rear tire grounds the look. Itd be a sin to leave this much rubber standing still. The menacing presence of the new VRSCD Night Rod will cause a stir on the boulevard. This new model combines a raked-out, 36 degree fork angle with mid-mount controls for more aggressive cruising. Seat height is a low 26 inches. The highway pegs are standard for more relaxed riding. The Night Rod takes its styling cues right off the drag strip, with a color-matched speed screen visor, a black frame and blacked-out mirrors and controls, and chrome straight- shot dual exhaust pipes. The Revolution V-Twin engine is finished in black powdercoat with highlighted fins and polished covers. Slotted Machined Cast Aluminum disc wheels come standard, or order the optional black Staggered 10-spoke Cast Aluminum wheels for a more aggressive look. The Night Rod can be ordered with optional chrome engine covers and an optional security system. Eight color choices include new Black Denim, a flat-black finish.
