The engine was a Air cooled cooled Four stroke, 45° V-Twin, Twin Cam 88® vibration isolation-mounted Valves Pushrod-operated overhead valves; w/ hydraulic self-adjusting lifters; two valves per cylinder. The engine featured a 8.9:1 compression ratio.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a D402F MT90-16 front tire and a D402 MU85B16 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single 292mm disc 4 piston caliper in the front and a Single 292mm disc 4 piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 41.3 mm telescopic, chrome dust covers while the rear was equipped with a Hidden, horizontal-mounted, coil-over shock. The FLSTN/I Softail Deluxe was fitted with a 18 9 Liters / 5.0 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 315 kg / 693 lbs.. The wheelbase was 1638 mm / 64.5 in long.

The FLSTN Deluxe carried the Twin-Cam 88B motor in its frame and was dressed in full fenders and wide whitewall tires. Dazzling chrome spokes were fitted into the latest Profile rims, which mounted to the tire without the usual lip around the perimeter. A classic winged tank badge makes the Deluxe easy to spot, as does the "Deluxe" script on the front fender.
FLSTN/I Softail® Deluxe features Model Overview FLSTN/I Softail Deluxe combines easy-riding comfort with a heavy dose of nostalgia to create an eye-catching custom that's a joy to ride. It hugs the road on lowered suspension. The pull-back riser and handlebars and 24.5-inch seat height make the Softail Deluxe comfortable for a wide range of riders. It's also the lowest Softail in the line. Custom details include a tapered chrome luggage rack, checked seat side panels and a chrome grab rail, tapered floorboards with chrome trim and clean front and rear light bars with bullet signals. Wide whitewall tires over laced chrome wheels, distinctive tank and fender emblems and a classic tombstone tail light recall another era. Choose from seven paint schemes, including the two-tone combinations of Glacier White/Deep Cobalt and Glacier White/ Vivid Black. Chrome Aluminum Profile Laced wheels are available as a factory-installed option.
