The Husqvarna FC250 was a single cylinder, four-stroke cross / motocross motorcycle produced between 2014 and 2019.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a liquid cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 78.0mm bore x 52.3mm stroke result in a displacement of just 249.9 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 5-speed transmission. The final drive was via chain. Power was moderated via the wet, multi-disc clutch, magura hydraulics.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 90/90-21 front tire and a 140/90-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc. brembo twin-piston floating caliper in the front and a single disc. brembo single-piston floating caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a wp-usd, aer 48, ø 48 mm while the rear was equiped with a wp monoshock with linkage. The FC250 was fitted with a 1.85 Gallon (7.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 219.36 pounds (99.5 Kg). The wheelbase was 58.35 inches (1482 mm) long.

The 2015 MY Husqvarna FC 250 has the smallest displacement among all the four-stroke models in the motocross family from Husqvarna. At its heart lies a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 249cc, single cylinder powerhouse mated to a six-speed manual transmission. In features an Engine Management System, which includes an Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI), and makes sure that the optimum amount of power is delivered to the wheel, no matter the conditions, as well as reduce fuel consumption. In addition, it has a race-derived suspension package, developed especially by WP for motocross.

The new 250cc engine has 26.1 Kg (57.8 pounds) but also remarkably powerful with an overall power output of 46 hp at the output shaft. All internal components have been revised and repackaged in order to reposition the engine within the new chromoly steel frame, shifting the mass closer to the centre of gravity of the motorcycle.
