With the release of the 2013 MY Ducati Diavel Carbon, the Italian engineers succeeded in obtaining improved performance, and an overall more agile machine than the base model. Carbon fiber parts in the fairing and the black accessories, machine finished forged aluminum Marchesini wheels, Marzocchi forks with diamond-like coating (DLC), plus milled aluminum brake disc carriers, significantly reduce the Diavel Carbon's weight to an impressive 205 kg. Also, visual touches such as the gloss red over matte carbon paint scheme, the red frame and rolls, and black wheels further differentiate the Carbon version from the base Diavel.

At its heart lies the proven, liquid-cooled, 1198cc, Testrastetta 11° L-Twin powerplant with four Desmodromically actuated valves per cylinder, that produces 162 horsepower and 128 Nm of torque.
