The bike has a CVTech drive and driven with engine brake transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet Multi-plate.

Stopping was achieved via Hydraulic disc in the front and a Hydraulic disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Double A-Arm independent while the rear was equipped with a Double A-Arm independent. The 400 was fitted with a 1.32 Gallon (5.00 Liters) fuel tank. The 2016 CFMOTO CFORCE 400 is a Utility Style ATV equipped with an 400cc, Liquid Cooled, Single-Cylinder, SOHC, 4-Stroke Engine and a Continuously Variable (CVT) Transmission. It has a Selectable 4X2 / 4X4 driveline. The CFORCE 400 has a Independent Double A-Arm Front Suspension with -70005- inches of travel while the Independent Double A-Arm Rear Suspension has -70105- inches of travel. The CFORCE 400 has Front Hydraulic Disc Brakes and Rear Hydraulic Disc Brakes.
