The Cagiva Raptor 1000 was a v2, four-stroke Naked motorcycle produced by Cagiva between 2000 and 2006. It could reach a top speed of 140 mph (225 km/h). Max torque was 66.61 ft/lbs (90.3 Nm) @ 7000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 103.26 HP (77.0 KW) @ 8500 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a liquid cooled v2, four-stroke. A 98.0mm bore x 65.8mm stroke result in a displacement of just 996.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 185/55 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. bremo, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single disc. bremo in the rear. The front suspension was a upside down telescopic hydraulic fork while the rear was equipped with a progressive, single shock absorber with adjustable spring preload. The Raptor 1000 was fitted with a 4.02 Gallon (15.20 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 434.31 pounds (197.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 56.34 inches (1431 mm) long.

The 2000 MY Cagiva Raptor 1000 has, at its heart, a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 996cc, 90-degree V-Twin powerhosue paired to a six-speed manual transmission and can produce a claimed 104 horsepower and 90 Nm of torque.

This powerful naked machine comes with a 43mm upside-down telescopic fork, an adjustable mono-shock in the rear, dual front disc brakes and a single disc in the rear, blacked-out, cast-aluminum wheels, a blacked-out, steel trellis frame, wide handlebars with hand-guards, analogue instrumentation dials, a n under-belly exhaust with a large muffler at its end and a large, round headlight.

This liter-class naked machine also boasts a maximum power output of 104 horsepower and 90 Nm of torque from its liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 996cc, 90-degree V-Twin powerplant mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
