The Yamaha IT 175 was a Single cylinder, two stroke, air-cooled Trial motorcycle produced by Yamaha in 1977.

Engine

A 66.0mm bore x 66.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 175.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive

The bike has a 6-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-discs.

Chassis

It came with a 90/90-21 front tire and a 120/90-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Drum in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Kayaba forks while the rear was equipped with a Monoshoks. The wheelbase was 56.3 inches (1430 mm) long.

The Yamaha UT 173 was first introduced in 1977. The machine is derived from the Yamaha YZ range of competition motocross bikes with modifications for use in competition enduro, hare and hounds and trail riding.
