The Kymco Downtown 300i ABS was a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, single cylinder, OHC scooter produced by Kymco in 2015. Max torque was 17.7 ft/lbs (24.0 Nm) @ 6500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 30.04 HP (22.4 KW) @ 8500 RPM.

Engine

A 73.7mm bore x 73.7mm stroke result in a displacement of just 298.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive

The bike has a CVT transmission.

Chassis

It came with a 120/80-14 front tire and a 150/70-13 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single 260mm disc, ABS in the front and a single 240mm disc in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a 5-way adjustable dual shock absorbers. The wheelbase was 60.79 inches (1544 mm) long.

2015 Kymco Downtown 300i ABS

The Taiwanese engineers from Kymco have designed a more safety-oriented version of the Downtown, in the embodiment of the 2015 MY Downtown 300i ABS. This machine comes with ABS as standard, besides all the modern features it shares with the base 300i. At its heart lies a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 298cc, single cylinder lump paired to a continuously variable transmission, and can produce 30 horsepower and 25 Nm of torque.
