Engine

The engine was a liquid cooled twin, four-stroke. A 57.0mm bore x 53.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 300.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive

The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the multiplate oil bath.

Chassis

It came with a 90/90-18 front tire and a 130/90-15 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc. 2-piston in the front and a single disc. 2-piston in the rear. The front suspension was a 33mm forks while the rear was equipped with a dual shocks. The FX-3 was fitted with a 4.2 Gallon (15.89 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 59.02 inches (1499 mm) long.
