The engine was a liquid cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 96.8mm bore x 67.8mm stroke result in a displacement of just 500.8 cubic centimeters.
DriveEdit
The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet, multiplate type, hydraulic control.
ChassisEdit
It came with a 120/70-17 front tire and a 150/60-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc. floating disc type with radial caliper in the front and a single disc. floating disc type with hydraulic control and radial caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a kayba upside-down fork with damping adjustment while the rear was equipped with a kayba´soft damp´ monoshock absorber with adjustment. The SM500R was fitted with a 1.9 Gallon (7.19 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 324.08 pounds (147.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 58.86 inches (1495 mm) long.
2015 SWM SM 500 REdit
Derived directly from the SWM RS 500R enduro model, the SM 500R carries the same fuel-injected 501cc engine and Kayaba suspension. Supermotard-specific 17-inch wheels and 320mm floating Brembo brake system will provide competition-spec braking performance.
