OverviewEdit
Harley Davidson FLHR/I Road King
The Road King is Harley's interpretation of a touring
machine. Fully equipped with hard pannier luggage, and a large detachable
clear windshield upfront, this is a machine for long-distance cruising.
Powered by the latest version of the firm's big twin motor, the Twin Cam 88,
the 1449cc engine is fed by a 40mm (1.6in) CV carburetor, and exhausts its
distinctive off-beat sound through crossover dual exhaust pipes. The chassis
is typical Harley - solid, heavy and stable. Triple disc brakes provide
decent stopping power, while the air-adjustable rear suspension allows the
rider to adjust the ride for a passenger or full luggage load. It has
dazzling chrome plate, fork shrouds and low-slung styling.
