Overview
Honda CBX 650E
The CBX 650E was designed primarily for the American market. The sales description in the United States was CB 650 SC "Nighthawk".Characterized by the long wheelbase, the unusual choice of wheel size and design with rapidly decreasing tank and the adjoining side panel, the bike had rather a bad start in Germany and Europe.
The mean CBX 550-750 cc, entered in 1983 with shaft drive as rival to XJ 650 Yamaha and Z 550GT of Kawasaki. The engine, an air-cooled four-cylinder in-line engine with 4-stroke gasoline system has double overhead camshafts (DOHC) and 16 valves with hydraulic valve clearance compensation.
