The Suzuki RG 500 GAMMA was a Water-cooled, Two-stroke, 4 cylinders Sport Bike motorcycle produced by Suzuki in 1985. Max torque was 53.11 ft/lbs (72.0 Nm) @ 8000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 94.94 HP (70.8 KW) @ 9 RPM.

A 55.9mm bore x 55.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 498.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 6-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-plate.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 110/90-V16 front tire and a 120/90-V17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2x260mm discs 4 piston calipers in the front and a Single 210mm Disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Centre axle, air adjustable fork with 38mm tubes, adjustable spring preload while the rear was equipped with a Shock absorber, adjustable for spring preload. The wheelbase was 56.1 inches (1425 mm) long.
1985 - 1989 Suzuki RG 500 GAMMA[edit | edit source]
The RG250 Gamma was the first member of the RG-Gamma family, introduced to the world in 1983. Suzuki launched its RG500 road bike 11 years after the RG500 racer hit the Grand Prix trail with Barry Sheene in 1974. Over the next ten years the RG took four world titles and 50 Grand Prix victories.
