Engine
The engine was a Air cooled cooled Four stroke, 70°V-twin cylinder, SOHC. The engine featured a 9.0:1 compression ratio.
Chassis
It came with a 100/90-19 front tire and a 170/80-15 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single 298mm disc in the front and a 200mm Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a 41mm forks while the rear was equipped with a Adjustable link Monocross. The -Star Classic was fitted with a 16 Liters / 4.2 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 214 kg / 471 lbs. The wheelbase was 1610mm / 63.4 in long.

Yamaha V-Star Classic

Only the price tag will tell you this machine is a mid-size model.
Everything else - the long, low styling, the authentic 40 cubic-inch V-twin, the painstaking attention to detail -- will just plain knock you out. Take one for a nice long ride, and you'll see why. Big on value and good looks, the V-Star 650 Classic punches way above its weight. It's a champion by unanimous decision.
