Engine[edit | edit source]
A 88.9mm bore x 88.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 803.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 6-speed, manual transmission.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/60-17 front tire and a 160/60-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 245mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm fully-adjustable upside-down fork while the rear was equipped with a fully-adjustable Sachs monoshock with progressive linkage. The Monster 800ie S was fitted with a 1.06 Gallon (4.00 Liters) fuel tank.
2003 Ducati Monster 800ie S[edit | edit source]
The 2003 MY Ducati Monster 800ie S has been equipped with a revised suspension package, which makes for a higher seat height and ground clearance, so that the maneuverability of the base model is significantly increased. Also, it has been fitted with carbon-fiver body parts, which also lower weight. In all other departments, it has the same features as the base model.
In the engine department it sports a four-stroke, air-cooled, 803cc, 90-degree V-Twin desmodromic powerplant mated to a six-speed manual transmission, and can reach a maximum power output of 73 horsepower and 69 Nm of torque.
