A 88.9mm bore x 88.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1203.0 cubic centimeters.
DriveEdit
The bike has a Triplex chain transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet, multi-plate, compensated.
ChassisEdit
It came with a 120/70xZR17 front tire and a 180/55xZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via ZTL type brake, 375 mm stainless steel floating rotor, 6 piston caliper in the front and a 240 mm stainless steel rotor, single piston floating caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a Showa inverted fork with adjustable compression damping, rebound damping and spring preload while the rear was equipped with a Showa shock absorber. The wheelbase was 52.01 inches (1321 mm) long.

The Buell Lightning XB12Ss has a big and powerful engine able to produce 100 horsepower at 6600rpm and a peak torque of 109 Nm at 6000rpm. The motorcycle has the performance and style of the original Lightning bikes, but with stretched chassis dimensions and ergonomics for a more relaxed riding position.
