The Suzuki Inazuma 400 was a in-line four, four-stroke Naked motorcycle produced by Suzuki between 1997 and 2002. Max torque was 26.55 ft/lbs (36.0 Nm) @ 9500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 50.96 HP (38.0 KW) @ 11000 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
A 52.0mm bore x 47.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 399.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet Multi-plate.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70-zr17 58w front tire and a 170/60-zr17 72w rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic while the rear was equipped with a Swingarm. The Inazuma 400 was fitted with a 4.76 Gallon (18.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 412.26 pounds (187.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 57.48 inches (1460 mm) long.
1997 - 1999 Suzuki Inazuma 400[edit | edit source]
Suzuki launched the Inazuma 400 in 1997. A bike which used the same frame of the Inazuma 1200 - presented one year later.
2000 - 2002 Suzuki Inazuma 400[edit | edit source]
In November 2000 Suzuki presented the new somewhat upgraded Inazuma 400. The carburetor was now equipped with a throttle position sensor improving the throttle response.
