The Gilera GFR 125 was a liquid-cooled, two-stroke, single cylinder Sport Bike motorcycle produced by Gilera in 1994. Max torque was 14.75 ft/lbs (20.0 Nm) @ 10800 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 30.98 HP (23.1 KW) @ 11300 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
A 55.9mm bore x 55.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 125.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 6-speed, manual transmission.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 110/70-17 front tire and a 150/60-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single 300 mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the front and a single 240mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 40mm upside-down telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a Boge monoshock.
1994 Gilera GFR 125[edit | edit source]
The 1993 Gilera GFR 125 is an entry-level sportbike, suitable for the younger and less-experienced among riders, who want a typical Italian machine. It sports a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 125cc, single cylinder powerplant that was mated to a six-speed manual transmission with a chain final drive, and can produce a claimed 31 horsepower and 20 Nm of torque.
In addition, it comes with a full-fairing with a windscreen, a single seat with lumbar support for the rider, die-cast aluminum wheels, front and rear disc brakes, a race-inspired paint and graphic scheme, analogue instrumentation dials, a 40mm upside-down telescopic fork coupled to a Boge monoshock in the rear and a blacked-out, steel frame.
