The Yamaha CS5 was a twin, two-stroke standard produced by Yamaha in 1972. It could reach a top speed of 84 mph (135 km/h). Max torque was 15.71 ft/lbs (21.3 Nm) @ 7000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 21.59 HP (16.1 KW) @ 7500 RPM.

A 52.0mm bore x 46.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 195.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a port control.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the multi-disc, wet.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 3/18-4pr front tire and a 3/18-4pr rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake). right hand operation, cable actuated in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake). right foot operation, rod actuated in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a swing arm. The CS5 was fitted with a 2.38 Gallon (9.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 257.94 pounds (117.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 49.02 inches (1245 mm) long.
