A Trials motorcycle is a motorcycle specifically designed for motorcycle trials. Moreover, the motorcycle is designed for balance, extremely low speeds, climbing ability, ability to get over obstacles as part of the course.
Motorcycle characteristics[edit | edit source]
- Small seat since the rider sits seldom during competition
- High ground clearance for transversing over logs, rocks, and berms
- Light frame for maneuverability
- Long front fork travel
- Heavy duty rear suspension
- Small fuel tank to eliminate weight
- Large rear sprocket for low speed torque
- No lighting or other road equipment
