Ducati 1199 Panigale R SBK Aruba.it
This is the 2015 Ducati World Superbike team, introducing riders Chaz Davies and Davide Giugliano and the livery for their 1199 Panigale R racebikes.
The new livery still features the signature Ducati Corse red as well as a healthy amount of black representing the teams new title sponsor, Italian web hosting company Aruba.it. Davies and Giugliano will ride the 1199 version of the Panigale and not the companys new 1299 Panigale, as its engine capacity exceeds WSBKs 1199cc maximum displacement for Twins. Still, development continued on the 2015 superbike to improve performance while meeting WSBKs rules. The 2015 Panigale R Superbike is an evolved version of the one we raced in 2014, says Ernesto Marinelli, Ducatis superbike project director. We have come into line with the new technical regulations and, as well as the normal suspension, brakes and chassis upgrades, the three areas where we have made the biggest changes are the new electronics, the engine and the new exhaust system, which has come from the collaboration with Akrapovič. Akrapovič is delighted to announce a new partnership with Ducati Corse that will see the Slovenian exhaust specialist become an official sponsor of the Italian companys World Superbike team. Akrapovič will partner the factory team on the world stage in 2015, and the companys superb exhausts will feature on the Aruba.it Racing Ducati Superbike Team machines raced by official riders Chaz Davies and Davide Giugliano in this seasons twenty-eightrace calendar encompassing fourteen events.
