The Can-Am/ Brp Outlander MAX 500 HO EFI was a V-twin, liquid-cooled, SOHC, 8-valve (4-valve/cyl) ATV produced by Can-Am/ Brp in 2008.
Engine[edit | edit source]
A 81.3mm bore x 81.3mm stroke result in a displacement of just 499.6 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 2w/4w shaft driven with Visco-Lok front differential transmission. Power was moderated via the Automatic CVT.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 25 x 8 x 12 front tire and a 25 x 10 x 12 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2 inboard hydraulic discs in the front and a 1 inboard hydraulic disc in the rear. The front suspension was a MacPherson while the rear was equipped with a Torsional Trailing arm Independent. The wheelbase was 59.02 inches (1499 mm) long.
2008 Can-Am/ Brp Outlander MAX 500 HO EFI[edit | edit source]
The 2007 Can-Am Outlander MAX 500 HO EFI is built for two, but riding it solo and using it for outdoor work is equally easy. The dual racks can accommodate up to 135 kg of gear, with room for hauling a lot of luggage or extra fuel for longer explorations far from the main roads being no longer a problem.
This quad also offers digital instrumentation, an encoded key and easy-to-use dual-ratio automatic transmission, selectable 2/4WD with locking front differential, reverse and engine braking, for safer descents on steep gradients and in other tight situations. And with the added fuel injection system, the 2007 Can-Am Outlander MAX 500 HO EFI is also up for better mileage, easier starting during cold weather, all without the occasional carb hassle.
