The NSU 601 OSL was a single cylinder, four-stroke Sidecar motorcycle produced by NSU between 1936 and 1941. It could reach a top speed of 68 mph (110 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 23.47 HP (17.5 KW) @ 4950 RPM.
Engine
The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 85.0mm bore x 99.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 562.0 cubic centimeters.
Chassis
It came with a 3.50-19 front tire and a 3.50-19 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake) in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The 601 OSL was fitted with a 3.57 Gallon (13.50 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 330.69 pounds (150.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 55.91 inches (1420 mm) long.
