The '''[[Kawasaki]] ZL1000''' was a in-line four, [[four-stroke]] Cruiser [[motorcycle]] produced by [[Kawasaki]] between 1986 and 1989. It could reach a top speed of 128 mph (206 km/h). Max [[torque]] was 67.12 ft/lbs (91.0 Nm) @ 7000 RPM. Claimed [[horsepower]] was 107.68 HP (80.3 KW) @ 9000 RPM. 
 
==Engine==
The engine was a [[liquid cooled]] in-line four, four-stroke. A 74.0mm [[bore]] x 58.0mm [[stroke]] result in a [[displacement]] of just 997.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin [[cam]] (dohc).

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. 
 
==Chassis==
It came with a 100/90-18 front [[tire]] and a 160/80-15 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a  38mm Showa air assisted forks 142mm wheel travel while the rear was equipped with a Dual Showa air assisted shocks, 106mm wheel travel. The ZL1000 was fitted with a 4.89 Gallon (18.50 Liters) fuel tank.
